Eighteen more months sounds about right, since it's been around for about six. Some people are going around saying that Pokemon will last for years and years, like Sesame Street. Nonsense. The next kid generation will embrace something else.

The best guide would be in Japan, where Poke-fever is about 2 years ahead of the US and is still strong. The second movie was just released there, and should be released in the US in the Fall of 2000. I understand the TV cartoons there have switched to a new storyline with a different kid trainer and different pokemon as the 'stars,' so it may be with us for more than 2 years.

How long did the Ninja Turtles last through all their different

OH! these is nothing in the world I hate more than pokemon. i will admit it is a fun and original game, but action figures, cards, a tc show, AND A MOVIE! its not even good!

to keep it on topic, im watching S:TAS right now and just realzied the guy that voices bibbo is the same guy that plays 'raymonds' brother.

actully, the ine coming to the US is really the 2nd one for jap. anyway, once the seris changes it will be all over.

BTW, due to the culture japanise kids have longer attention spans and 'fads' will last longer.

I use to love that show

Hey, Len-L, how ya been?

I didn't consider that the Pokemon people might change the characters and storyline. That was done for the Turtles, as you point out, and it was also done (and is still being done) for the Power Rangers. The Rangers and Turtles are certainly still around, although it doesn't seem that they're nearly as popular as they once were.

Talk about your coincidences. On this morning's comics page, a one-panel named 'Committed' has a Power Ranger, a Ninja Turtle and JarJar Binks at a bar with Pikachu.

Ninja Turtle: 'Oh, yeah...You'll be popular forever.' Power Ranger: 'Right...at least six or seven more months.' JarJar: 'Meesa thinks youssa shouldn't quit your daysa job.'

Brad Garrett(sp?). He also does Lobo. Btw, does anyone know where a cast list for S:TAS can be found? I thought there was one on the Superman Homepage, but I can't seem to find it.

That scares me! OTOH, I'm an avid Toonhead and can't find anything - even shows I like such as 'Batman Beyond' and 'Beast Machines' - that grabbed me like the first season of S:TAS or the Fox episodes of B:TAS did.

The question is, what's worse than Pokemon? I must know so I can avoid it...
