Apokolips and Doomsday

If someone wouldn't mind filling this newbie in on what happened during the Apokolips storyline I'd really appreciate it. I just mainly want to know how Doomsday was involved and what he did. I heard from people who have read it that he actually attacked Darkseid, and hurt him. Well, if anyone can fill me in, please do! Thanks!

It was in a miniseries called Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey. It wasn't all about Apokalips, but the planet and Darkseid did play a pretty big role.

Doomsday, who was tossed into space on an asteroid after he was 'killed' by Superman, was picked up by a ship heading to Apokalips. When the folks inside discovered something was on it, and that it was alive, they panicked. And for good reason, 'cause that's when Doomsday woke up, killed the crew, and took the ship to Apokalips. When he gets there, he just starts going crazy, killing and destroying everything in his path. The Cyborg Superman shows up and joins him in the rampage, with the intent of turning Apokalips into a new Warworld (Mongul's former base of operations) When Darkseid learns of this, he confronts Doomsday. He blasts him with his Omega beams, with the full intent of destroying him.

He fails. And Doomsday then proceeds to whoop Darkseid's ass.

Of course in the end, Darkseid survives, Apokalips gets better (or as good as it can get) and Superman and Doomsday fight it out. But spoiling the ending wouldn't be fair, now would it? (And besides, Supes obviously

Sounds like a great mini-series. I can only imagine the HUGE amounts of damage both Doomsday and The Cyborg could do together!!! I definitely want to check out that storyline! Do you know where I could pick up a version of it (comics, paperback, or ANYTHING)? Like would they be selling a book version in any bookstores? Thanks again. And I hope you can fill me on where to read about it.

The series was collected into a trade paperback last year, so you should still be able to find it.
