Did anyone else catch this. When sinestro slammed GL into the plane at the air base, the pilots name on the plane was COL. Hal Jordan.
Pretty cool.
Where there any other references I missed?

This would have been a sweet opportunity to have 2 of the following scenarios:
1) Hal Jordan come behind a boasting Sinestro, smashing him from behind just as Sinestro was about to finish off Kyle. This gives Kyle a chance to regain the advantage. Kyle would ofcourse kiss Hal's ass. Hal replying 'No problem, hero.'
2) Sinestro pounds Kyle, the ring slips off and rolls behind them. Sinestro turns ready to grab the ring, just as Hal Jordan picks it up. He's seen what's happened, and slips on the ring! Sinestro and Hal go at it until Superman can get there and finish the battle. Hal takes the ring off at the end of the eps. and says to Kyle 'I think this was yours.' Kyle says, 'The way you handled him, this ring should have been meant for you!'

As another poster already pointed out...That mugger sure did look a lot like Guy Gardner, didn't he?

Also Gil's restaurant ( where Kyle and Jimmy were having lunch ) was probably a reference to Gil Kane, an artist who drew quite a few GLs.

Actually, if you think about it, the whole origin was (as me and my friends called it ) very Halish. The alien crashing here, Sinestro as his main villian, and the many Lanterns (which I was happy to see Killowag, Hall killed him in the comics). Don't get me wrong though!!! I loved it. The battle was very well done!!
