Help - Superman Album Search - 40 years

Help. I'm looking for a Superman Annual which was purchased in England in 1959. (Not sure of year issued). It was a blue hard bound publication with a number of stories in black and white, and some in full color. the book sold for approx. 1 pound, 6 shillings. I left the annual in England as a youngster and have been searching off and on since the 1960's but without any luck. I'm not familiar with this kind of collection, and I can't find any record of such a publication in the Overstreet Guide. Are you sure it was published as a Superman title?

The first Superman Annual I'm familiar with was 80 pages, had the usual heavy-paper cover, cost 25c, and was published in June 1960.

Your best bet is to first visit your local comic shop and look through the last few issues of COMIC BOOK MARKETPLACE.

On the inside back cover recently they had a color article showing covers of several Superman British Annuals. Take a look and try to identify the cover.

Then do a search on ebay...you might get lucky.
