Superman in the old costume may be an icon but it probably isn't selling a whole heap of comics. The last S comics I purchased were Death of and Reign of. It's a sales gimic and it generally works (Marvel's Heros Reborn excluded).

Oh, dear God, not another 'change Superman's suit so he'll sell more comics' post. Didn't we learn anything from the ElectroSupes mess? Don't change something that works fine as is!

Here Here!
The folks in charge at DC need to be slapped if they screw with the costume any more. It's ridiculous.
Here's a good formula for you geniuses at DC and heck, Marvel too.... because they're doing it with Spider-Man every other week. How to multiply sales figures by thousands....
Awesome Writers + Awesome Artists + Creative control to Writers, Artists = Quality Comic Book that will sell like crazy.
They spend too much time and money with gimmick crap, when they could use that same money to hire true talent and really sell some great comics.

When I said Marvel is doing 'it' with Spider-Man every other week, I meant to say they've changed his costume like a million times now, a horrible trend that DC seems to think is cool too. Instead of doing that, just hire artists that can DRAW THE CURRENT COSTUME well. And writers that can tell a decent story. Not this, 'Superman died, please by our comics' gimmick trash.
