Well, as I actaully don't hate Porter's work - don't love it either - I can't say this is either good or bad news. In fact, I think I like his work better than McGuiness's work so far. And I would even say that Porter, Usenet notwithstanding, is a fan favorite.

The bigger problem is that we have to wait another six months till he takes over. More substitutes. Oy.

I have found his work to be as bad as ever, if not worse in WW3, his superman face is just bad, if he showed some of the pages to an editor to get work, he would never get work.

There was only one issue of JLA i thougt he did good work on, it was issue 15 or 16, the one where they introduced the new team. He faces in that issue were great, actually at the time I thought it might be a different artist. Considering how fast the quality went down after that ish, I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

If only i could, but i feel bad if i dont get a weekly fix of Supes even if i hate it.

Personally Porters work improved on WW3 in JLA but personally they should get McKone in - he's not got any regular gig.

But that wont happen.

I think we should all write to DC and DEMAND that they put the McKone/Alquiza team on a Superman book!
