I read the current Supergirl series but as I have to drive out of town to find it, I am not able to get it on a monthly basis. In the first issue, Matrix sacrifices herself to save Linda Danvers life. Supergirl seems to have been stripped of her protoplasmic capabilities but not her telekinetic powers. Last year, the protoplasmic form reappeared. I didn't see how this turned out do to the problems above, and am left with a question. Is Supergirl Linda with Matrix's powers or is she Matrix with Linda's memories? Or has this yet to resolved?

She has both of them, there is a small part in Supergirl that remain protoplasmic because she can change her look from brown to blonde and she have all of Linda's memory.
Hope that help...

They show Linda/Matrix in the shower after the absorbing. Matrix like plasma is going down the drain. This 'left over' plasma is part of Matrix and received Linda's memories just like the rest of Supergirl. But without the benefit of what Supergirl had been through since it went down the drain, it didn't understand Linda correctly and went evil.
Basically the left over plasma is Matrix. More so than Supergirl who has become a merged being. Matrix still has her old powers and Supergirl has new ones.
