Spoiled rotten . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I gotta tell you, I'm not thrilled with Supes being dead yet again, but Jeph Loeb has written a great story here. I found the narrative of the Atom very moving and convincing. Sure the story seems to be a modified Fantastic Voyage, but the ineterpersonal relationships are handled gracefully. I dunno, I liked it.

I did too. A lot.
It's really difficult, because Jeph does a *great* job of writing, but the overall story-arc suffers from the other writers. In particular, Jeph does a great job of showing how Superman is such a great hero and helps and inspires others - but the the previous issue (by Joe Kelly) was REALLY BAD! The message was that Superman's Way *doesn't work* and you have to be dark and twisted like Batman in order to get anything done.
This is particularly bad because the first chapter in all the arcs is written by Jeph, and the last chapter by Kelly - so all the story arcs have a final message of despair. BUT. If the *first* chapter were written by Kelly, and the *last* chapter by Jeph Loeb, all the story-arcs would end on an up-lifting note.

I liked it also, but I felt that the timing of the issue fell too closely on the current JLA title. Similar theme in both books.
