I think he did, come to that. Aye, yeah. I just reread a stack of Silver Age stuff over the past few days, and I remember that scoring a mention somewhere. It was a Superboy story, if I recall. So, if nothing else that explained why Clark was *always* in that red sweater and white shirt.
The robots - they were a worry. Ever notice how they seemed to be completely sentient in their own right (especially back in Superboy's day - that boy just *loved* the robots), yet Clark had no worries at all about keeping the poor bastards in a cupboard all day, or knockin' 'em to bits if he felt like it?
I think it was made out at one point that even his X-ray vision just makes his eyes really really hot.
