Huh. For some unknown reason, DC's cancelled their adaptation of Jon Peter's Wild Wild West movie...

Hmm...now maybe they'll manage to get him off the new Superman movie...

Guess they relized he isnt the movie god they thought he was. This may be the first step to getting him removed for the movie.

Given the bad buzz, the tepid resposne from preview audiences, and the frantic reshoots, this comes as no surprise.

'Fraid not. They've given him SANDMAN and WONDER WOMAN as well. They ain't letting Superman escape Peters' wrath.

To my understanding, Peters has been removed from the Sandman movie because Gaiman fought like a mad man to get the picture sent to another distributor. WB let one of their smaller studios handle the deal, so technically... WB still has the picture, but the production house has changed, giving Gaiman a 'tad' bit more creative control with the Sandman movie.

It'll be a little longer till we see it on the big screen, but closer to the original vision.

You are right about the Superman deal though. It would take WWW and Superman to fail before WB even thought about taking Wonder Woman from him.

My two suggestions to the anti-Peters camp: 1) organize a plan of 'attack.' Letters are ok, but five or six a week doesn't make an impact like 200 or so in a week. Get a date scheduled. to send them off in bunches. 2) Be more vocal outside your usual 'webrings.' You could post on all the Superman sites on the net that you visit, but chances are a small amount of Superman fans hit the same sites. Branch out. Hit movie rings, movie chat rooms, ask to put flyers at your local comic store and movie/video outlet. You need to get the general public as pissed as you are about the idea of this film being made. Start a fund to put an ad in a magazine. Most people don't know Nic Cage is going to be Superman, and they think 'oh well, I can't change Hollywood's decision.' Tell them about Peters' ideas and his track record (Batman, yeah... but Caddyshack 2? Tango & Cash?) Don't lie... Persuade. Make people question why they're really going to see WWW (I can tell you, it ain't because of the 100 foot tall mechanical spider.).

Organize, Plan, Attack.

Otherwise, they think you're a bunch of comic reading geeks that are whining about a movie that you'll still pay to see, no matter what.

Anyway i just sent letters to people at WB telling them to vist the main page so they see what its all about (giving them the site URL, so just to make it bigger do you think yoiu can vist my page at reload once or twice so the hit counter goes up making it look bigger?

Oh yeah, and placing a add will get hits but i have no money, so im going to make up a banner and join link exchange or something.

Well, I'm not going to see it. Just becuase it has the name 'Superman' on it doesn't mean it's any good. And with Peters (and, if WB brings him back, Burton) on board, there's no way this thing's gonna be any good.
